The double ferrule handle is made from ebony, finished with a nickel-silver turning ferrule. The turning ferrule rotates to lock the blade, the traditional Nontron locking system. The 9 cm blade is made from T12 steel, a resistant French cutlery steel that takes a fine edge. Delivered with gift packaging. Use and care

• Wipe the blade clean with a damp cloth or sponge and dry it immediately
• Never put it in the dishwasher and do not soak it in water
• Treat the ebony handle occasionally with a drop of food-safe oil to keep it beautiful
