    Böker Trench Knife

    Product description

During the static front-line combat of World War I, soldiers often resorted to improvising weapons in field forges and makeshift workshops both at and behind the lines, due to inadequate standard-issue gear. As trench warfare evolved, it became increasingly clear that the existing equipment was ill-suited to the brutal, close-quarters nature of the fighting. In response, Boker was commissioned by the Ministry of War in 1915 to design a compact combat knife specifically tailored to these conditions.

The faithfully reproduced Boker Trench Knife features a blade made of C75 carbon steel, a material known for its excellent edge retention but, like the original, requiring proper maintenance to prevent corrosion. Other historically accurate details include the solid stainless steel crossguard, the official tang stamp as used at the time, ribbed wooden handle scales sourced locally, and a high-quality leather sheath built to original specifications. Each knife is individually serialized.
