How to keep your board in optimal condition?

If you have bought or received a beautiful wooden board, you want to enjoy it for as long as possible. However, wood is a natural product and is therefore subject to changes. Cracks can develop over time. Wood should never be put in the dishwasher. After each use, it is best to clean your board with a soft brush, damp cloth or sometimes lukewarm water and soap and dry it with a dry cloth. Then let the board dry vertically, with the wood grain upright. To maintain its beautiful color and shine, the wood should be rubbed regularly with a special maintenance wax.

Pure Wood Wax

This maintenance product from Pure Wood Care is specifically intended for the maintenance of cutting boards, serving boards, chopping blocks, wooden bowls and other wooden kitchen utensils. Because the products are completely food safe, this line is very suitable for bringing and keeping wooden objects that are used in the kitchen or on the table in good condition.
In addition to the mineral oil, the wax contains a natural wax, which provides a water-repellent layer. This keeps the nourishing oil in the wood and the moisture outside. The wax therefore has an extra protective function.

Use
The Pure Wood Wax is easy to use. Take a clean dry cloth and apply the wax to the wood in the direction of the wood grain. For best results, apply this wax to the wood while it is still lukewarm. Let it work for at least 20 minutes and then wipe away the excess wax. Polish the wood to obtain a beautiful shine. Apply 3-4 coats to a new cutting surface for chopping blocks. Please note that the colour of the wood may darken when using the Pure Wood Wax. Prevent any staining by allowing the wood to dry thoroughly before placing it on a surface.
